Paul Delaney is a psychotherapist, clinical supervisor and adult educator, with over thirty years’ experience helping people negotiate the complex process of behaviour change. He specialises in motivational interviewing and is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) and the International Association of Cognitive Psychotherapy (IACP). In addition, he is a member of the International Association of Facilitators (IAF) and is also a certified restorative justice trainer (IIRP). He has spent 30 years facilitating positive behaviour change in the areas of Health Behaviour, Addictions, Employment Services, Criminal Justice and Social Services. |

Motivational Interviewing

He received his initial training as a practitioner in Motivational Interviewing in 1993 in the UK and subsequently trained as an MI trainer in 1997 when he became a member of MINT - the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers. In Europe, he has delivered MI training to practitioners in Malta, Greece, Spain, France, Italy, the Netherlands and the UK, as well as in North America. He offers coaching and supervision to others who are using MI as part of their work and has completed training in the MITI 4.1. coding system (Motivational Interviewing Treatment Integrity instrument) at Massachusetts University, School of Medicine, Boston, USA.
